About Future Matters Foundation

Future Matters Foundation (FMF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to quality mental health care for individuals who are uninsured or underserved across North Carolina and South Carolina.

We provide no-cost counseling through secure telehealth and limited in-person services, helping remove financial and geographic barriers to behavioral health care.

Beyond direct services, we invest in the future of mental health by training master's-level mental health interns under the supervision of licensed clinicians. This hands-on clinical experience prepares emerging professionals to provide ethical, compassionate, and evidence-based care in their communities.

By combining direct client services with workforce development, we address two critical community needs: increasing access to mental health care today while strengthening the mental health workforce for tomorrow.
